As part of the Ghana Evangelism Committee’s agenda of making the committee visible to the Christian community again in the Nation, the National Director, Reverend Bright Nyamedor paid a courtesy call to one of its Para-Church Organisation partners, Theovision International leadership on Wednesday 1st November 2023 at their headquarters.
Rev. Nyamedor briefed the leaders of Theovision International on the works of the GEC for the past 49 years, established in 1974, and the quest to rebrand GEC to effectively play the catalyst role in the three core mandates of GEC which are Mission Research, Evangelism and Discipleship to the Churches in Ghana.
The Director also was privileged to share the vision 2027 of GEC with the theme ‘GHANA MUST GO’ with the leaders. He stated that over the next four years (2023 – 2027), Mission Research, Discipleship Building, Leadership Development, Evangelism, Strengthening of Ecumenical Unity, Administrative Structuring, Innovative Use of Information Technology (IT), and Financial Mobilization will represent the key areas that will occupy the attention of GEC.
The President of Theovision International, Reverend Theodore M. Asare was grateful and surprised by the visit as it is the first of its kind. He congratulated the new Director of GEC and pledged to collaboratively help push the agenda for Ghana to Go as is the aim of GEC for the next four years.
The Director was privileged to tour the facility of the organization and was briefed on the history, ongoing projects, and achievements of the organization.
